The Aces hope to have two-time MVP A’ja Wilson back on Wednesday. The reigning Finals MVP missed Sunday’s 75-71 road loss to the New York Liberty with an ankle injury. Kelsey Plum stepped up with 25 points and six assists in the loss, while Jackie Young added 12 points on just 4-of-11 shooting. Kiah Stokes came off the bench for nine rebounds. Las Vegas had won four straight entering the game.
Aliyah Boston went off for 30 points and 13 rebounds in Sunday’s 104-100 overtime victory for the Fever over the visiting Atlanta Dream. No. 1 overall pick Caitlin Clark also posted a double-double with 26 points and 12 assists and Kelsey Mitchell chipped in with 21 points as Indiana clawed its way back from a 16-point deficit, overcoming 19 turnovers.
Wilson averages 27.3 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.7 blocks for the Aces, making a strong statement for a third MVP award to go with those she won in 2020 and 2022. Young gets 16.2 points and 5.3 assists a night. Clark paces the Fever with 19.2 points and 8.5 assists per game, with Mitchell getting 19.1 points a contest and Boston contributing 14.3 points and 9.1 boards an outing.
