The Las Vegas Aces (26-13) are in a unique position on Thursday, the final day of the regular season, with the fourth seed locked up, but have the potential to move up to third with some help. They take on Arike Ogunbowale and the Dallas Wings (9-30), who have already been eliminated from the playoffs, but have the opportunity to play spoiler. This season Ogunbowale already played spoiler against Team USA in the All-Star game, going off for a record 34 points and led Dallas to an upset win over Las Vegas the last time the teams played. Now Ogunbowale and Dallas have the opportunity for one last upset win in what has been a disappointing season overall.

In that win over Las Vegas three weeks ago Dallas used a 32-21 final period to pull off the upset. Dallas entered the final period down eight points, which is when Ogunbowale, Satou Sabally and Natasha Howard took over, combining for 30 points on 8-of-13 shooting.
Howard led the way with 12 points in the final period, shooting 4-of-6 from the field and 4-of-5 from the free throw line. She finished with 24 points, six rebounds and three blocks in the win. Sabally (28 points, seven rebounds and five assists) and Ogunbowale (20 points, six assists and five rebounds) each scored nine points in the final period to help fuel the comeback.
For Las Vegas, A’ja Wilson had a monster game with 42 points, six rebounds and three blocks in the loss, going 16-for-22 from the field and 10-of-13 from the free throw line. That was one of two 40-plus point outbursts from Wilson in the final three weeks of the season as she adds to her MVP resume.
