When the Indiana Fever (1-1) needed it most, the team stepped up with one of the best defensive performances of the season. Indiana locked down the Atlanta Dream (1-1), holding the three seed to their second-lowest point total of the season in Game 2. Now both teams face-off in the first win-or-go-home playoff game of the 2025 WNBA season. All-Star Kelsey Mitchell came up big in Game 2 with a game-high 19 points on 4-of-8 shooting from three-point range. Aliyah Boston added 15 points and Natasha Howard chipped in 12 points in the biggest win of the season for Indiana.

Atlanta will look to get back on track on its home court. The loss in Game 2 was the second-lowest scoring game and shooting game of the season. Rookie Te-Hina Paopao led Atlanta with 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting in just 14 minutes off the bench. Rhyne Howard was the only other double-figure scorer with 10 points.

This season, Atlanta has only lost back-to-back games twice this season. Since All-Star Weekend, Atlanta has not lost back-to-back games in 23 games, going 18-5 overall between the regular season and playoffs.

Indiana, on the other hand, has not won back-to-back games against teams with .500 records all season. They will try to do that for the first time this season with Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham, Aari McDonald, and Sydney Colson all in street clothes.
