Since returning from concussion protocol, Bueckers has scored 51 points on 20-38 shooting in two losses. She exploded for a career-high 35 points in a loss to the Phoenix Mercury, where the rookie star could not seem to miss from anywhere on the floor.
During this three-game winning streak for Golden State has played exciting, fun, team basketball. Seven different players have scored in double figures, led by Kayla Thornton. The 10-year veteran is having a career-best season, averaging 14.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
Thornton spent six of those 10 seasons with Dallas before moving on to win a championship with the New York Liberty and then finding herself as a leader on the WNBA’s newest franchise.
