After bouncing back from their first loss of the year with three consecutive wins, the Minnesota Lynx square off against the Washington Mystics at CareFirst Arena on Tuesday night. Minnesota began the season with nine consecutive wins before suffering its first loss of the year to Seattle earlier this month. Now, the Lynx have begun a new winning streak, with three-straight wins improving their overall record to a WNBA-best 12-1 mark. The Lynx are the lone one-loss team in the league and are two games ahead of the Liberty and Mercury for the No. 1 seed in the WNBA standings. Washington, on the other hand, sits middle of the pack with a 6-8 record and a 4-3 home pace. This is the first of three matchups between these two teams this season.

Most recently, the Lynx defeated the Sparks for a second time in the last week by a final score of 82-66 in Minnesota on Saturday night. Kayla McBride scored a season-high 29 points, with 15 of those points coming in the fourth quarter. Courtney Williams also added 18 points, as the Lynx held serve without superstar forward Napheesa Collier in the lineup. 

As for Washington, the Mystics outlasted the Wings in a 91-88 overtime victory at home on Sunday. Sonia Citron led the way with a season-high 27 points and 11 rebounds, including the go-ahead three-pointer with 12.2 seconds left in overtime. Shakira Austin added 21 points.
