The Dream host the Mystics in a game with massive playoff implications in Atlanta on Friday night.
With both teams one game off the pace in the WNBA playoff race, the Washington Mystics hit the road for a matchup against the Atlanta Dream at the Gateway Center on Friday night.
The Dream lost two consecutive games to drop one game back of the top-eight in the league standings with a 12-24 record. Atlanta trails Chicago by a game for the eighth and final playoff spot, and are just 7-11 at home this season. Washington, on the other hand, also has a 12-24 record this season with an 8-11 mark on the road. Earlier this season, these two teams split games with each winning on the other’s home court. Now, they’ll play back-to-back games with four games remaining in the regular season.

Most recently, the Dream dropped their second straight loss in a 76-64 loss to the Lynx on Tuesday night. Allisha Gray led the way for Atlanta with 17 points on 8-of-8 from the free throw line while Tina Charles finished with a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.
As for Washington, the Mystics rolled to move within one game of a playoff spot in a 89-58 victory over the Sky on Wednesday night. Aaliyah Edwards had 15 points and 10 rebounds in the win while Brittney Sykes added 14 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.
