How to Watch Mercury at Sparks: Stream WNBA Live, TV Channel

The Phoenix Mercury face-off with the Los Angeles Sparks for the final time in the regular season on Tuesday.

With a lot of variables still up in the air there are two certainties already locked for the 2024 WNBA season. The Phoenix Mercury (18-20) will be the seventh seed in the playoffs and the Los Angeles Sparks (7-31) will finish with the worst record in the league. That means Los Angeles will also finish with the worst two-year aggregate record, giving the team the best odds to win the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft to pair another terrific young player to the core of Cameron Brink, who has missed most of the season due to injury, and Rickea Jackson, who has found her scoring touch in the last 21 games. While Los Angeles has its eye on the future, the veteran core of Phoenix is trying to make a surprise championship run this season.

The wildcard for Phoenix is the availability of Kahleah Copper, the third leading scorer in the league this season. She has missed the last three games, two of which Phoenix has lost with the offense struggling to find a consistent rhythm.

This season Phoenix has won all three games against Los Angeles, all before the Olympic Break, by an average 13.0 points per game. The last game nine weeks ago was the most competitive, with Phoenix winning 84-78. In that game Natasha Cloud had the best game of the season, finishing with 31 points, nine rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks on 4-of-6 shooting from three-point range.

Cloud has lit up Los Angeles this season, averaging 22.0 points, 8.0 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game, which is far and away her best averages against any one team this season.
