How to Watch Storm at Mercury: Stream WNBA Live, TV Channel

Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury host the fifth seeded Seattle Storm in the regular season finale on Thursday.

The Seattle Storm (24-15) close out the regular season against the Phoenix Mercury (19-20), their chief rival. This season Seattle has won two of the first three games including a Commissioner’s Cup game and the most recent game two weeks ago. This is also potentially the final time personal rivals Diana Taurasi and Skylar Diggins-Smith will face-off after a tumultuous three-year stint in Phoenix before Diggins-Smith left for Seattle. Coming off a year for maternity leave, Diggins-Smith is having one of the best runs of her career, teaming up with former MVP Nneka Ogwumike, All-Stars Jewell Loyd and Ezi Magbegor, and recent addition Gabby Williams to make a run at Seattle’s fifth championship this season.

This season Diggins-Smith is averaging 15.2 points, 6.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game, playing in all 39 games this season. Since the Olympic Break Diggins-Smith has been on top of her game with five of her nine 20-plus point games and teaming with Williams for one of the best defensive backcourts in the WNBA.

On the other side for Taurasi she continues to defy age barriers, averaging 15.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game in 35 games played. This is the 18th season in Taurasi’s career where she has averaged 15-plus points per game as she leads Phoenix to the playoffs for the 14th time as the seventh seed.

This season Taurasi is averaging 12.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game against Seattle in three games. Phoenix will need all that Taurasi can provide with Rebecca Allen out and the league’s third leading scorer Kahleah Copper listed as questionable for the fourth straight game.
