The Wings’ loss was their worst, 109-87. The 15-year veteran Tina Charles leads the team this season. She is averaging 17.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. She dropped a team-high 27 points on 9-of-14 shooting with six rebounds in the loss to Dallas. Marina Mabrey follows her, averaging 14.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.

On the other side, the Fever came into this week with two games on the docket and a 2-2 record. This begins the first of the two weeks during which they are scheduled to miss superstar Caitlin Clark due to a quad strain. They took on the Mystics early this week in the first game without her. She was injured in the team’s last game against the New York Liberty last weekend.

Indiana lost that game 90-88, and Clark had 18 points with five rebounds and 10 assists in 38 minutes of action. Now, the point guard responsibilities will largely fall to Sophie Cunningham, who came over in the offseason from the Phoenix Mercury. She is averaging 7.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game this season.
