The Phoenix Mercury (17-17) are coming off a playoff clinching win that will send Diana Taurasi to the postseason for the 15th time in her legendary career. They take on the Washington Mystics (10-23) on Thursday, who find themselves in a peculiar position down the final stretch of the regular season. Washington is one game out of the final playoff spot and just 2.5 games out of the worst record in the league, which would help its odds in the upcoming WNBA Draft Lottery.

Washington is getting healthy at the right time with Brittney Sykes, Karlie Samuelson back in action and Shakira Austin on her way back. The Mystics have won four of the last five games after the Olympic break gearing up for one final push to the playoffs this season.

She was whistled for the technical in the loss to the Las Vegas Aces, causing her to miss Phoenix’s win over the Atlanta Dream. This season Cloud is averaging 11.6 points and 6.8 assists per game.
