Alabama, the No. 19 ranked women’s college basketball team in the nation, will travel to Berkeley, California, on Thursday night. In Berkeley, they will take on Cal at Haas Pavilion in the SEC/ACC Women’s Challenge. The Crimson Tide are undefeated this season with a perfect 9-0 record through one month of the regular season. They beat New Orleans at home to open the season before heading on the road to beat Alabama A&M. Before their early-season tournament, they also beat Troy, Norfolk State, Alcorn State, and UL Monroe.

At the end of November, they took the court for the Emerald Coast Classic against Alabama State, winning that game by 50 points, led by 15 points from Aaliyah Nye. They went on to win the championship against another ACC team in Clemson by 34 points. Zaay Green led the way in that win with 17 points. Earlier this week, they picked up another win against Georgia State by 49 points.

The Bears are 7-1 overall this season, with only one loss in the first month of the year. That lone loss came in the first round of the Acrisure Holiday Invitational against Michigan State by six points. They bounced back to win the third-place game against Arizona by 12 points on the back of 25 points from Ugonne Onyiah.

Before the tournament, they beat Saint Mary’s, Idaho State, San José State, Gonzaga, Grambling, and Auburn. Four of those games were at home, while they have only played twice on the road this season. This will be their first game this year against a team ranking in the top 25 of the country.
