American and Loyola Maryland look to end losing streaks when they meet Monday evening at Reitz Arena in Baltimore

Loyola Maryland (6-9) and American (0-15) are the last winless teams in the Patriot League, each off to 0-4 starts. The Greyhounds four-game losing streak coincides with the opening of conference play while the Eagles carry a 16-game skid that dates back to last season. Loyola hasn’t played in the NCAA tournament since back-to-back bids in 1994 and 1995 and its last postseason appearance came in the 2011 WNIT. American was in the NCAAs in 2022, its third trip to the event.
