Gianna Kneepkens and the Utah Utes host the Arizona Wildcats in Big 12 women’s college basketball action.

Coming off its biggest win of the season Arizona (14-8) looks to build even more momentum against a very familiar opponent. They Wildcats took down 16th ranked West Virginia in their last outing giving the team three straight wins for the first time in over a month. They hit the road to take on Utah (15-5) for the second time this season. The Utes head into this game having won two straight, but only 3-3 over the last six games after strong start to conference play. Senior Gianna Kneepkens is coming off back-to-back 30 point games in those wins, which were the first two games she has scored at least 30 points in her career.

The first time the teams played the Utes came away with a 69-48 win. They locked down the Wildcats through three periods allowing just 28 total points and building a dominant lead that they did not let go in the final period.

Kneepkens led the way with 18 points, nine rebounds and three assists in an efficient effort on the offensive end. She finished 6-9 from the field including 4-6 from three to help build an insurmountable lead. Over her last two games Kneepkens has scored 30 points against Kansas and then 32 points against BYU heading into this rivalry matchup.

The Wildcats were led by Lauryn Swann with 22 points off the bench. She caught fire from three shooting 6-7 from deep in a losing effort. For Swann, a freshman, that stands as her career-high in both points and three-pointers.
