In the win, Delanie Crawford led all scorers with 25 points and also led the Hurricane on the boards with a 13-rebound performance for a double-double. Mady Cartwright was also in double figures with 15 points and added eight rebounds to the stat sheet to narrowly miss her own double-double. The team went 10-for-10 from the line, but could use some work from the field and long range as the Hurricane shot 39 percent and 22 percent from those areas, respectively.

The Blue Jays bring a three-game win streak into Sunday’s non-conference contest and a record of 4-2 so far this season. The team traveled to Florida early last week and played Wichita State and Syracuse in the Emerald Coast Classic. On Tuesday, the team closed out the tournament with a big 86-59 win over the Orange. Morgan Maly led all scorers with 28 points in the win and went 6-for-6 from three-point range. She officially moved up to ninth in the all-time scoring record books and will likely continue to climb as the season progresses. Lauren Jensen went 5-for-7 from long range and finished the game with a total of 21 points as the two women combined for a dominant performance.

Creighton and Tulsa have met twice before with the most recent meeting dating back to the year 2000. The game went in the Blue Jays favor with an 82-47 victory at home to improve to 2-0 in the all-time series.
