A heavyweight ACC battle between Duke at NC State headlines the night of women’s college basketball on Fubo

Duke (17-4) and on a five-game winning streak head down Tobacco Road to Raleigh on Monday night for a big-time Atlantic Coast Conference matchup with NC State (17-4), which has won six straight games. The Wolfpack enter the game second in the conference at 9-1, with the Blue Devils a half-game back at 8-1. Both teams are chasing Notre Dame in the race for the regular-season championship. The matchup is one of two women’s college basketball games available on Fubo Monday night, with the other a Southeastern Conference matchup between Florida (11-11) and Arkansas (9-14).

NC State returns to Reynolds Coliseum on Monday after picking up a 90-83 road win at Wake Forest on Thursday. Aziaha James powers the offense, scoring 16.9 points per game, while Zoe Brooks puts up 13.3 points a night. Madison Hayes averages 10.1 points and 6.8 rebounds. Brooks led the way with 18 points for the Wolfpack at Wake Forest with Zamareya Jones coming off the bench for 17.

Duke is playing its third straight road game and last played on Jan. 26, grinding out a 55-50 win at Georgia Tech. Oluchi Okananwa’s jumper put the Blue Devils up for good in the fourth quarter and they held off the Yellow Jackets down the stretch. Toby Fournier leads the team with 12.7 points per game off the bench, while Ashlon Jackson drops 12.0 points per outing and Jadyn Donovan averages 6.3 points and a team-best 6.9 boards.

In Monday’s other matchup, Arkansas comes off a streak-breaking win on Thursday that improved its mark to 2-6 in the SEC, tied with Florida for 12th place in the 16-team circuit. The Razorbacks never trailed in a 72-51 demolition of visiting Texas A&M, with Izzy Higginbottom going off for 33 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. She is fifth in the nation at 23.6 points per game while Kiki Smith puts up 10.1 points a night. Vera Ojenuwa averages 7.3 points and 7.1 boards.

Florida has dropped four in a row, falling to visiting Vanderbilt 99-86 on Thursday night. Ra Shaya Kyle finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds and Liv McGill added 20 points. McGill, a freshman, averages 16.0 points and 5.1 assists, with Kyle booking 15.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
