Ra Shaya Kyle and Florida will take the court against Tessa Miller and Clemson on Thursday in the SEC/ACC Challenge in women’s college basketball.

Florida will travel to Clemson, South Carolina, on Thursday night in the SEC/ACC Women’s Challenge in college basketball. In South Carolina, the Gators will face-off with Clemson at Littlejohn Coliseum. The Tigers played seven games in the month of November and lost two of them. They opened the season with three straight wins at home against Jackson State, NC Central, and Presbyterian before going on the road for the first time. Their first road game ended in their first loss of the season to South Carolina, then the nation’s top-ranked program.

They bounced back in the first round of their in-season tournament, the Emerald Coast Classic. They beat UAB by almost 40 points, led by 17 points from Loyal McQueen. They lost in the championship game against former No. 23 ranked Alabama by 34 points. Despite only scoring 39 points, Mia Moore had 11 points. They won earlier this week against Kennesaw State at home on the back of 15 points from Tessa Miller.

The Gators are an even 4-4 through eight games this season. They went 3-4 in November, beating FAU, Florida A&M, and Chicago State to open up their season before losing four-straight games to end the first month of the regular season. They were taken down at home by Miami and on the road by Florida State before going to an early season tournament.

They went to the St. Pete Showcase and lost in the first game against Tulane by two points followed by James Madison by just five points. Earlier this week they beat Hofstra by 27 points with Ra Shaya Kyle leading the way with 15 points and 11 rebounds, including six offensive rebounds. Me’arah O’Neal also had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
