The women’s basketball Horizon League Tournament championship is down to the top two seeds Green Bay and Purdue Fort Wayne.

There was no other way to close out the Horizon League Tournament this season than a matchup between Green Bay (28-5) and Purdue Fort Wayne (25-7). This season the Phoenix went 20-1 in conference play between the regular season and tournament earning the top-seed. That one loss came to the Mastodons way back in December in the first few games of Horizon League play. The teams also met in the regular-season finale with the top-seed in the tournament on the line. In that game regulation wasn’t enough with the Phoenix winning in overtime to even the season series, earn the top-seed in the tournament and set up a rubber match with both teams looking to secure a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
