Illinois-Chicago (UIC) will travel, though not far, to its in-city rival on Friday night in Chicago, Illinois. They will take on DePaul at Wintrust Arena. The Blue Demons are just 3-7 overall this season heading into this weekend. They were able to get a win in their first game of the season against Mercyhurst at home before losing at home against Princeton in the following game. They went on the road for the first time and picked up their second win against Loyola Chicago by 15 points. That is when the losing streak started.

They dropped their following four games to end November with three of the four games against top-10 teams. They lost to former No. 4 Texas, No. 8 Oklahoma, and No. 9 Kansas State with a loss to Green Bay in the middle. The Flames have played just six games this season, four less than DePaul. They picked up their first win at the end of the month on the road against Northern Illinois.

They started December with a loss on the road against T Thomas in Minnesota and beat North Central at home by 60 points last weekend. Makiyah Williams, a senior guard, leads the team in scoring with 13.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game while shooting 37.9% from the floor.
