David N’Guessan and Kansas State will take on Vasean Allette and TCU in a Big 12 contest at Schollmaier Arena on Saturday.

Kansas State will travel south to Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday afternoon for a Big 12 showdown in men’s college basketball against TCU at the Schollmaier Arena. The Kansas State Wildcats (7-5, 1-0) opened conference play on December 30th with a huge home win at Bramlage Coliseum over No. 16-ranked Cincinnati, 70-67. However, they did lose five non-conference games in the first two months with some rough losses included. In the first month, they dropped games to LSU and Liberty in the Paradis Jam.

After opening December with a win by almost 50 points over AR-Pine Bluff, they dropped three straight non-conference games to St John’s in the Big 12-Big East Battle followed by Drake in overtime and Wichita State on the road. Senior guard David N’Guessan leads KSU in scoring this season, averaging 13.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.

The Texas Christian Horned Frogs (7-5, 0-1) sit on the bottom of the Big 12 after dropping their first conference game of the season on the road to Arizona by nine points to close out 2024. They went 7-4 against non-conference opponents, dropping three of those losses in November against Michigan and two games in the Acrisure Invitational to Santa Clara and Colorado State.

They won their Big 12-Big East Battle game against Xavier at home before dropping the next game to Vanderbilt in the US LBM Coast-to-Coast Challenge. They won their last two non-conference games against South Alabama and Montana State. Frankie Collins, a senior, lead TCU in scoring this season before being ruled out for the season with an injured foot. Now, the pressure is left to Vasean Allette.
