The Wildcats are coming off a scary-close 79-78 win over No. 13 Liberty on Friday. Georgia Amoore had one of the best games of her career when she led the game with 34 points. She was especially clutch in the final 10 seconds hitting three free throws. The Wildcats were cruising for three quarters but they nearly blew a 17-point lead. The Flames outscored Kentucky 28-15 in the fourth quarter to nearly pull off one of the biggest upsets of the tournament so far. The Wildcats went nearly five minutes without scoring in the fourth. They’ll need to spread out their efforts much more today against a much tougher opponent.

That’s because K-State showed no signs of slowing down in their first round matchup beating No. 12 Fairfield 85-41 in Lexington on Friday. Serena Sundell scored a game-high 18 points while Ayoka Lee had 17 points and 10 rebounds in her return to the lineup. The Wildcats shot 53.1 percent from the field while holding Fairfield to just 16.1 percent from three. KSU also outrebounded the Stags 44-19 to heavily outscore their opponent in the paint. This battle of Wildcats tonight should be a much more evenly matched game.
