USC battles Kansas State on Saturday night in a Sweet Sixteen matchup in the women’s NCAA Tournament

The USC Trojans hit the court on Saturday night to take on the Kansas State Wildcats with a berth in the Elite Eight on the line. The Trojans will have to do it without star JuJu Watkins who tore her ACL in the win over Mississippi State in the second round. Watkins led the team in scoring and was the heart of the team, but Kiki Iriafen has also been good and the Trojans will lean on her against the Wildcats. Iriafen is averaging 18.6 points and a team-best 8.5 rebounds per game. The Trojans have been deep this year as eight different players are averaging at least 12 minutes per game. The Trojans come into Saturday 30-3 on the season and they won the regular season Big Ten title. They did lose in the conference tournament championship game to UCLA, but they have looked good in the NCAA Tournament as they beat UNC Greensboro 71-25 and then beat the Bulldogs 96-59. Iriafen scored 36 points in the win over the Bulldogs.
