This season 11th ranked Kentucky (16-1) has quietly moved up the rankings as one of the best teams in women’s college basketball. The Wildcats have won nine straight games and all five conference games. Georgia Amoore will look to give the Wildcats a 10th straight win against a Texas A&M (9-8) team that has struggled to find any consistency this season. The Aggies have not won or lost more than two games in a row. The Wildcats however have been the beacon of consistency. They started the season with six straight wins, lost their only game of the season, and have rattled off nine straight since.

Through 17 games the Wildcats over 70 points 16 times and held opponents below 70 points 13 times. They have become a metronome on both ends of the floor with a roster virtually built with transfers under new head coach Kenny Brooks.

Two of those transfers are used to playing with each other and under Brooks in Amoore and Clara Strack. After playing a season together with Virginia Tech and making the Final Four both Amoore and Strack followed Brooks to the Wildcats.

Amoore is leading the way with 18.5 points per game and a NCAA-best 7.5 assists per game. Strack is having a breakout season in the paint averaging 15.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.5 blocks per game. Those two have built on their chemistry alongside fellow transfers Dazia Lawrence (Charlotte), Teonni Key (North Carolina) and Amelia Hassett (Eastern Florida State College).

    Regional restrictions may apply.
