Alexis Markowski leads the Nebraska Cornhuskers against the Louisville Cardinals in the NCAA Tournament.

This first round matchup in the NCAA Tournament features two teams with veterans looking to make a run. Jayda Curry leads seventh-seeded Louisville (21-10) against Alexis Markowski and 10th seeded Nebraska (21-11) in Birmingham Regional 3. The senior leaders took different pathways to get here. Curry was one of the top freshmen in the country with California and now leads the Cardinals into the NCAA Tournament as a wildcard. Markowski has played all four seasons with the Cornhuskers. She led the team to 21 or more wins and an NCAA Tournament in three of her four seasons. Both seniors have the potential to lead their team on a run here in March.
