Both of those losses came to teams ranked in the top nine. They look to build on that win against a quality Mississippi State (15-3) team on Thursday that is still looking to crack the Top 25 in women’s college basketball for the first time this season. The veteran trio of Jerkaila Jordan, Eniya Russell and Madina Okot will test the Volunteers on both ends of the floor to try and pull off the major upset.

They are combining for 41.2 points and 20.4 rebounds, leading the Bulldogs to one of the best records in women’s college basketball. In their upset of ninth-ranked Oklahoma last week Jordan led the way with 24 points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists on 10-of-17 shooting from the field.

The Volunteers counter with the best offensive attack in the country led by sophomore transfer Talaysia Cooper. She has improved from her freshman season with South Carolina and a full year off the court. This season she leads the way with 18.3 points per game on 50.8 percent shooting in an efficient 22.8 minutes per game.

Cooper has stuffed the statsheet all season with 5.4 rebounds, 3.6 steals and 3.3 assists per game to lead the Volunteers high-flying offensive attack that comes in waves with 10 different players playing 10 or more minutes and five scoring in double-figures.
