Frostburg State and Concord will battle it out for a spot in the Mountain East Tournament semifinals when they meet on Thursday night.

The fifth-seeded Concord Mountain Lions will take on the fourth-seeded Frostburg Bobcats on Thursday night as the teams meet in the quarterfinal round of the Mountain East Conference Tournament. Concord finished out regular season play with an overall record of 15-13 and a conference record of 11-9. The team’s regular season finale was played against Glenville on Saturday and the Mountain Lions won handily in a 99-75 victory at home. Concord saw three starters breach the 20-point mark, led by Abbie Smith who scored 23 points while Skylar Davidson and Sanaiya Morris each finished with 20 points. Smith had a monster performance on the boards as well, pulling down 15 rebounds to earn a double-double in the win.

The Bobcats finished just ahead of the Mountain Lions in the standings with an overall record of 18-10 and a conference record of 12-8. The team finished regular season play against No. 22 Fairmont State who won the conference this season, falling in a 92-82 overtime loss. Emilee Weakley led all scorers with 32 points while three Bobcats came off the bench to combine for 32 points. While the team shot 48 percent from the field, it struggled from long range, sinking just two three-point shots in the loss.

Frostburg State and Concord have already met twice this season and the teams split the results with the Bobcats winning the first game 74-64 and the Mountain Lions picking up the win in the second meeting, winning 79-77.
