Lucy Olsen and the Iowa Hawkeyes look to bounce back at home against Nebraska in women’s college basketball.

Since the start of Big Ten Conference play Iowa (12-5) has struggled. The Hawkeyes are just 2-4 overall in conference play and heading into this matchup on a three game losing streak. All four losses in conference have been by single-digits and a combined 22 total points. Lucy Olsen and Hannah Stuelke will try to get back on track at home against a Nebraska (13-4) team that has won three straight. The Cornhuskers struggled to close out the non-conference season falling out of the Top 25. Since then they have started to play like the team that entered the season as one of the best teams in the country. Alexis Markowski will try to keep the Cornhuskers streak alive against a tough, motivated Hawkeyes team.

Markowski has played some of her best basketball over the last three games. The senior is averaging 18.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game with two double-doubles. In eight games against the Hawkeyes in her career Markowski is averaging 16.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game.

For the Hawkeyes this three-game losing streak has seen the offense slip below the standard it had set through the first 14 games. They have failed to crack 70 points in each game and are averaging just 13.3 assists per game as a team.

Olsen is down to just 14.3 points and 3.7 assists per game on 35-40-100 shooting splits. The Hawkeyes will need Olsen to get the offense started to avoid a fourth straight loss and falling even further behind in the conference standings.
