They are a half-game back from No. 25 Florida State and a game in front of No. 10 Duke. They are 2.5 games back from the undefeated No. 3 Notre Dame.

They closed out January with a hard loss at home against Florida State by two points last weekend. Maria Gakdeng dropped 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting in that loss. On Thursday, they took on Cal, the No. 19 ranked team in the country, and ran over them, 65-52. Reniya Kelly dropped 16 points on 7-of-15 shooting in the win.

The Stanford Cardinal are 11-9 overall this season heading into this weekend. They are 3-6 against teams in the conference, sitting a half-game ahead of Boston College, Miami, and Virginia. They are also a half-game behind Clemson and six games behind the conference-leading Fighting Irish. They played only one game last week and walked away with a win to end the month.

They were able to get the better of Pitt by 12 points at home, led by a 14-point performance from Chlose Clardy. Courtney Ogden led the team in rebounds with nine rebounds, one shy of a double-double to go with her 10 points off the bench. Those are all higher than her season averages. Elena Bosgana also had 14 points in the win.
