Ole Miss, the country’s No. 18 ranked women’s basketball team, will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, on Thursday night. In Raleigh, they will face off with NC State at Reynolds Coliseum in the SEC/ACC Women’s Challenge. The Rebels have two losses heading into this week with five wins through the first month of the season. They opened up the year on the road with a two-point loss to the former No. 3-ranked USC in the Aflac Oui-Play. They bounced back and won three straight games against AR-Pine Bluff, Delaware State, and Jackson State.

They went on the road after those three wins to the Baha Mar Women’s Championship. Ole Miss took down Boston College in the first round, led by 17 points from Kennedy Todd-Williams. The team lost the semifinal matchup against the No. 2-ranked UConn by 13 points. It bounced back against Alabama State in its last game. Sira Thienou led the team in the win with 16 points and five assists.

The Wolf Pack came into this game with three losses and four wins in seven games throughout the first month of play. They opened up the season as the No. 9-ranked team with a win against ETSU before taking on and losing against the nation’s top-ranked team in South Carolina. After dropping to the No. 13 team, they lost on the road to TCU by three points.

They went on the road to the Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship, taking down Coastal Carolina in the first game by 21 points, led by 21 points from Aziaha James. In the semifinals, they took down Southern by 30 points earning a spot in the championship. In the third game in as many days, they battled with No. 7 LSU and lost by almost 20 points with Saniya Rivers dropping 21 points.
