No. 11 seed Princeton will take on No. 11 seed Iowa State in a “First Four” matchup on Wednesday night in the NCAA women’s college basketball tournament. The winner of this game will head to the first round in Region 3 in Birmingham, Alabama. The Cyclones finished their season with a 22-11 overall record and 12-6 inside of the Big 12 Conference. They opened tournament play in the second round with a game against Arizona State where they came away with an eight-point win on the back of a massive 41-point night from Addy Brown.

Now in, Brown and Crooks are going to need to propel this team against a very good Princeton squad.

The Tigers are coming out of the Ivy League despite not winning an automatic bid. They finished the season with a 21-7 record and ended 12-2 against teams in their conference. They finished just one game behind Columbia, a team they lost twice to in the regular season. They opened their conference tournament in the semifinals against Harvard.

They were taken down by the Crimson, 70-67, allowing Harmoni Turner to drop 44 points. Skye Belker, the team’s leading scorer, had 22 points in the loss. She is averaging 17.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. She is followed by Ashley Chea, who is averaging 12.5 points and 3.6 assists per game.
