The Richmond Spiders take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

One of the most dynamic first round matchups in the women’s college basketball tournament is between eighth-seed Richmond (27-6) and ninth-seed Georgia Tech (22-10). Both teams lost in the second round of their conference tournaments, but by just one point each after terrific regular seasons. The Yellow Jackets started the season with 15 straight wins, including three upsets against ranked opponents. Since then they have gone just 7-10 overall. The junior duo of Kara Dunn and Tonie Morgan have shown the ability to lead the Yellow Jackets to big time wins and upsets all season. When those two are rolling the Yellow Jackets have the potential to upset just about any team in the country.
