The Rebels received a first-round bye due to their finish in the conference standings and will hope that one less game on their legs will serve them well against the Bulldogs on Thursday. The team finished the regular season with an overall record of 19-9 and a conference record of 10-6. In their regular season finale, the team traveled to play LSU, beating the No. 7 Tigers in an 85-77 upset. Tameiya Sadler led the Rebels offensively, scoring a team-high 19 points while Starr Jacobs came off the bench to finish right behind her with 18 points. KK Deans and Christeen Iwuala rounded out the double-digit scorers with 17 and 11 points, respectively and Iwuala led on the boards with nine rebounds to narrowly miss a double-double.

Mississippi State and Ole Miss met once this season and the game went in the Rebels’ favor with a 71-63 road win back in January. Tune in Thursday night to see if the Bulldogs can pull off the upset in Greenville.
