Since being upset earlier in the season by an unranked Indiana team Stanford (7-1) has fallen out of the Top 25 despite winning three straight games by a combined 108 points. Now the Cardinal face their biggest test of the season against fifth-ranked LSU (9-0). The Tigers are looking for a second 10-0 start in four seasons since Kim Mulkey took over as head coach. This Tigers is third in the nation in scoring led by the trio of junior Flau’jae Johnson, senior Aneesah Morrow and sophomore Mikayla Williams. That trio puts pressure on defenses all game at the rim and all the way out to the three-point line giving the Tigers one of the most dynamic teams in the country.

Johnson is leading the trio and the team with 22.3 points per game. She has made steady improvements each season with the Tigers and is in the midst of a career-best season while also stuffing the statsheet with 6.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.7 steals and a block per game.

The anchor of the Tigers with her constant double-doubles and efficient scoring has been Morrow. This season Morrow has eight double-doubles in nine games to add to her career total of 82 double-doubles in 112 total games played.

The Cardinal will have to contend with Johnson, Morrow and Williams while also trying to crack the Tigers 33rd ranked defense to pull off the upset. That could come down to the play of sophomore Nunu Agara and three-point shooting. Agara is having a career-best season leading the Cardinal with 17.5 points per game while the team leads the country in three-point shooting.
