Tennessee State and Ole Miss will meet on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference game in Oxford. Watch live on Fubo.

On Sunday afternoon, Tennessee State will square-off against No. 18 Ole Miss in its penultimate non-conference game. The Tigers bring a record of 4-5 into Sunday’s game and will look to return to .500 with an upset over the Rebels. The team’s most recent game was played against North Texas on Wednesday and resulted in an 83-65 defeat on the road. Saniah Parker scored a game-high 22 points for the Tigers and was joined by Angel Hill and Sanaa’ St. Andre in double figures with 18 and 10 points, respectively. Erin Martin led the team on the boards with six rebounds, but struggled to compete against North Texas’ Tommisha Lampkin under the net who finished with a game-high 10 rebounds. While the team shot 51 percent from the field and 50 percent from long range, the Tigers could not keep the game within reach and suffered another loss.

The Rebels are currently 5-3 on the season, but suffered a loss their last time out with a 68-61 defeat by NC State in the ACC/SEC Challenge on Thursday. Madison Scott scored a team-high 15 points and Tameiya Sadler finished the game right on her tail with 14 points. Kennedy Todd-Williams rounded out the double-digit scorers with 12 points, but it still wasn’t enough to make up for the 13 point deficit the team suffered in the first quarter. The team struggled with its shooting going only 36 percent from the field and 17 percent from beyond the arc.

Tennessee State and Ole Miss have only met once before and it dates back to 2013 when the Rebels earned a 77-61 win at home. Tune in Sunday to see if the Tigers can even the series with an upset in Oxford.
