The next three weeks for top-ranked UCLA (19-0) will be a preview of the NCAA Tournament. The Bruins face five teams currently ranked in the top 22 and a sixth team that was ranked heading into the season. That stretch starts with eighth-ranked Maryland (16-3) who have struggled as of late. The Terrapins have lost back-to-back games to ranked opponents by a combined 46 points. Both of those games were away from the friendly confines of the Xfinity Center where the Terrapins are 9-1. This is a big test for both teams as a Final Four caliber matchup and the start of a stretch for the Bruins that will challenge their undefeated season.

This season the Bruins have defeated all four ranked opponents they have played including once top-ranked South Carolina. In those four games the Bruins have crushed ranked opponents by an average of 13.2 points per game.

Lauren Betts has been terrific this season overall and especially against the tougher teams as the Bruins anchor. In those four games against ranked opponents Betts is averaging 16.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 5.2 blocks and 4.0 assists per game on 57.7% shooting from the field.

For the Terrapins, they have seen the offense fall off over the last two games. Both losses, the Terrapins are averaging just 58.5 points per game after starting the season on fire averaging 84.0 points per game including nine games of at least 80 points per game. Kaylene Smikle struggled from the field shooting just 7-20 from the field while Shyanne Sellers finished with just one point in 14 minutes.
