Heading into the semifinals, Villanova took on the No. 16 ranked team in the country, North Carolina, and lost by 17 points. Maddie Webber led the team with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the arc. Lara Edmanson was the only other player in double figures with 11 points and a team-high seven rebounds on 4-of-11 shooting.
