The final seedings and games for the 2026 Women’s NCAA Tournament will be sorted out on Sunday night on ESPN.

The final 48 teams that will make the 2026 Women’s NCAA Tournament, their seedings, and their matchups will be revealed on ESPN on Sunday night. Unlike the men’s bracket, the women’s bracket’s top-16 seeds will host the first and second round games of the field of 68. As a teaser for this Selection Sunday show, the NCAA committee releases the names of the top 16 schools before the show without their seedings. Those 16 teams that will now host a portion of the tournament, in alphabetical order, include: Duke, Iowa, Louisville, LSU, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, TCU, Texas, UCLA, UConn, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia. Last year’s final four consisted of four of these teams — UConn, UCLA, Texas, and South Carolina.

Undoubtedly, the Huskies are locked into the top seed in this tournament after finishing the season with a 33-0 record, 1.5 games up on UCLA, who finished 31-1. The four aforementioned teams were the top four teams on the last AP Poll as well. According to the last AP Poll, Kentucky was the only team in the top-16 that is not set to host. Instead, Minnesota, who was No. 18 on the last poll, will be the team to host. Outside of that switch, all other 15 teams are the top 15 in the AP Poll, led by UConn.

It’s hard not to imagine that Geno Auriemma isn’t headed towards a back-to-back championship as his UConn team, led Sarah Strong, will be the favorite to win. He took down Dawn Staley’s South Carolina squad in the National Championship last season as Raven Johnson and company look for revenge. Tune in to ESPN tonight to see all the revealings of seedings and matchups, including analysis from the team on who looks hot and which teams can be this year’s “Cinderella story.”
