The No. 21 NC State Wolf Pack will welcome the ACC newcomer No. 8 Cal Golden Bears to James T. Valvano Arena at William Neal Reynolds Coliseum on Sunday afternoon for an ACC dual meet. The Wolf Pack are currently in fourth place in the conference standings with a record of 1-1 against ACC opponents so far and 2-4 on the season. The team’s most recent meet took place last week against UNC and resulted in a 196.350-195.925 victory on the road. Kailee Adomaites earned third place on bars with a career-high 9.875 while Lauren Wright achieved a career-high 9.825 on vault, tying for third with Chloe Negrete. Ashley Knight secured second place on vault with a strong 9.850 and Krista Zultevicz earned a season-best 9.825 on floor. Chloe Negrete showed out on floor, taking the top spot with a 9.925. Ava Myers matched her career-best 9.800 on bars and the Wolf Pack has continued to improve meet after meet.

The Golden Bears are sitting in second place in the ACC standings with a record of 1-0 so far and have been impressive in non-conference competition, as well, at 7-2. The team has won five straight meets with the most recent being a 196.925-196.225 victory over No. 24 Clemson last weekend at home. The Golden Bears earned at least a share of all five individual event titles and had 17 podium finishes due to a number of ties on floor. Senior Ella Cesario picked up the first all-around win of her career with a season-high 39.475. The Bears swept the podium on vault as Casario earned the win with a career-high 9.900. Cesario also won the bars with a season-high score of 9.925. Five gymnasts finished at the top of the podium on floor with 9.900s which gave the Bears the win.

Cal and NC State have only met twice in their history and the results are split with the Wolf Pack winning the first meet in 2005 by a score of 194.050-192.300 and the Bears winning the second meeting last year in a 197.875-195.675 victory.
