The Tigers come into Friday night’s SEC opener with a record of 3-1 so far. The 2024 national champions opened the season with a 197.300-194.100 win over Iowa State two weeks ago before taking second in last weekend’s Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad to top-ranked Oklahoma in a 197.950-197.650 defeat. The team did earn wins over No. 6 Cal (197.250) and No. 4 Utah (196.800). Senior Aleah Finnegan and freshman Kailin Chio both finished with a 39.625 all-around score which tied for second. Freshman Kailin Chio stuck her landing in the anchor spot on vault to post a career 9.95 and win the event title. The team competed well across all four rotations, but the Sooners were able to edge out the Tigers, handing them their first loss of the season.

LSU and Florida have met a total of 122 times in their history and the Gators hold a 78-44 lead in the all-time series. The teams’ last meeting took place at the NCAA Championships where the Tigers won it all with a 198.225 and the Gators took fourth with a 197.4375.
