The NCAA Championships in women’s college gymnastics is down to four teams in Oklahoma, Utah, UCLA and Missouri.

After an historic semifinal in women’s college gymnastics the final four teams playing for the NCAA Championships are Oklahoma, Utah, UCLA and Missouri. The top ranked team in the country, Florida, along with third-ranked Florida both came up just short in the semifinals. With the Tigers eliminated there will be a new champion after they won this tournament last season. The fourth-ranked Utes put the best overall team score in the semifinals with a score of 197.7625. The Bruins (197.7375) had the second best score in the semifinals followed by Sooners (197.550) and the (Missouri) Tigers (197.300) to create the final quad meet of the season for the National Championship.

Jordan Bowers of the Sooners medaled as the top all-around performer edging out the Utes Grace McCallum earning silver and teammate Faith Torrez who took home bronze. The all-around competition was one of the closest ever with Bowers finishing with a final score of 39.7125 besting the field by just .0375.

The Bruins Jordan Chiles won the gold in uneven bars and finished fifth in the all-around competition. Jade Carney from Oregon State finished fourth in the all-around competition without medaling in any individual event.

Kaitlin Cho from the (LSU) Tigers won the gold in vault, Helen Hu won the gold in balance beam for the (Missouri) Tigers and Brooklyn Moors gave the Bruins a second gold with a win in the floor exercise. If the Bruins come out on top in the team competition that will give the program three gold medals and an eighth National Championship in women’s college gymnastics.
