Jordan Chiles and the UCLA Bruins host the Penn State Nittany Lions in women’s college gymnastics.

After starting the season with back-to-back losses fifth-ranked UCLA (7-2) looks like one of the best teams in the country again. The Bruins have won seven straight dual meets heading into this showdown with 25th ranked Penn State (8-2). This dual meet has the potential to be great with the Nittany Lions having won three straight meets clashing with the Bruins who have won seven straight. Jordan Chiles leads the Bruins into this meet as one of the best overall gymnasts in the world. Chiles is a two-time medalist in the Olympics winning gold in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and silver in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games on top of her great career with the Bruins.

This season Ciles is ranked in the top 20 across multiple disciplines in women’s college gymnastics. She is third on the floor, 12th on vault and 20th overall across all gymnasts in the country.

The Bruins roster is stacked with great individual gymnasts in Chae Campbell who is 11th all-around, 14th on floor and 16th on vault. Emma Malabuyo is third in the country on beam and Frida Esparza is ninth on bars in the country.

For the Nittany Lions this season they are ranked in the top 31 as a team in four disciplines. They are highest ranked on bars at 19th overall while ranked 23rd on floor, 28th on beam and 31st on vault. That sets up a great dual meet between two teams ranked in the top 25 this season.
