Pittsburgh hosts the Stanford Cardinal in a dual meet on the mat in women’s college gymnastics.

After coming off its first 197.000 point score or better in January in nearly 10 years, 15th ranked Stanford (4-0) hits the road to take on 25th ranked Pittsburgh (3-1). The Cardinal are off to a strong start on the mats and look to remain undefeated. This is also the first time the Cardinal travel to take on the Panthers at the Fitzgerald Field House as the two start a new rivalry in the ACC. Junior Anna Roberts leads the Cardinal in this fresh matchup on the mat after the best performance of her career. Last week Roberts was named Gymnast of the Week in the ACC. She finished with a career-best 39.650 all-around total led by her performance on the floor and bars.

Sophomore Sienna Robinson was named Specialist of the Week and freshman Alana Walker was named Newcomer of the Week in the ACC for the Cardinal in their banner week on the mat.

For the Panthers this season they are led by the duo of Jah’Liyah Bedminster and Jordyn Ewing. They were two of the standout gymnasts last season participating in the NCAA Regional Championship. Bedminster leads the team competing in the floor exercise, vault and uneven bars. Ewing also competes in the floor exercise and uneven bars.

The Panthers also feature Hallie Copperwheat who was the ACC Championship runner-up last season. She stars on the balance beam alongside five other Panthers who look to make history against the Cardinal hosting them for the first time ever.
