Not only is Northeastern going for back-to-back titles, the Huskies would also have a three-peat with a win on Tuesday. In addition to that, they’d extend their record with 20 Beanpot wins in program history.

On the other side, Boston University has the fewest Beanpot championships of the four annual teams, with two. Those game in 1981 and then in 2019. The Terriers have never beat the Huskies in the Beanpot Championship, with one win over Harvard and the other over Boston College.

Northeastern punched its ticket last week with a 4-2 win over Boston College. The Huskies also played a full weekend series against Providence, and lost both games.

Boston University’s advancing game was a 2-1 overtime win over Harvard. The Terriers had just one game this week in between the semifinals and the finals, which was at New Hampshire on Saturday. They lost that game 2-0.

Puck drop Tuesday night is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Catch the game on NESN.
