With both teams looking to snap multi-game losing streaks this weekend in Eugene, Oregon squares off against Big Ten foe Penn State at Pape Field on Sunday afternoon.
After going on a two-game winning streak earlier this week, Penn State has lost six-straight games while dropping its first two games in conference play. The Nittany Lions are 2-7 overall with an 0-2 conference record and a 1-3 road record this season. Oregon, on the other hand, has lost two consecutive games to fall to 5-4 overall with an 0-2 conference record. However, all five of the Ducks’ wins are at home this season. This is the first meeting between these two teams as new conference opponents with Oregon joining the Big Ten.

Most recently, Penn State fell on the road to No. 3 Northwestern by a final score of 16-7 in Evanston last Sunday. Erika Ho led the Nittany Lions with four points on a hat trick and an assist, while Kelly MacKinney, Booke Hoss, and Brooke Long each added a goal and an assist.
As for Oregon, the Ducks fell at home to Rutgers in a 10-6 loss in Eugene on Sunday. Oregon did close the gap after tailing by five goals in the first quarter. The Ducks outscored the Scarlet Knights 5-4 in the final three quarters but Rutgers got out to an early 6-1 lead. Bri Carrasquillo and Lyla Hurley scored two goals each in the loss for the Ducks.
