The SEC Tournament will kick off for Georgia and Texas A&M on Sunday as the teams hope to move on to the second round.

On Sunday afternoon, the SEC Tournament will begin for seventh-seeded Georgia and tenth-seeded Texas A&M as the teams meet in the first round in Pensacola, Florida. The Aggies finished the regular season with an overall record of 8-8-2 and a conference record of 3-5-2. The team had a tough final weekend in conference play as it took on No. 4 Arkansas and No. 3 Mississippi State. The Aggies pulled off a scoreless draw against the Razorbacks, but fell in a 2-0 defeat to the Bulldogs to close out the regular season. The Aggies managed to outshoot the Bulldogs 12-7, but could not get any of their five shots on target past Maddy Anderson in net. Sydney Fuller did come up with two saves in net for the Aggies, but the two that made it by her cost the team the game.

Georgia finished off the regular season with an overall record of 7-5-6 and although the team did not do quite as well overall as its opponent on Sunday, a 3-3-4 record in conference play gave the Bulldogs a higher seed. The Bulldogs will look to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Texas in their conference finale for a chance to move on in the tournament. The Longhorns outshot the Bulldogs 14-9, challenging Jordan Brown in net with six shots on net. She made five saves in net for Georgia and the team will look to her strength in goal during tournament play in the hopes of making a run for the title.

Georgia and Texas A&M met during the first round of the SEC tournament last year, as well, and the game went into overtime where Georgia pulled off a 3-2 victory to advance.
