This year, Northeastern is slated to finish the same way it ended last year and will use the remainder if its non-conference games to prepare for a conference-opener against Elon in three weeks.
The Crimson ended their 2023 campaign with a second place finish in the Ivy League standings, but will look to secure the conference title this season with strong game play. In a preseason coaches’ poll, Harvard was voted to finish at the top of the league and will lean on seniors Josefine Hasbo and Jade Rose to do so.
The team bring a record of 1-0-1 into Monday’s game and will look to build on momentum from a strong start to oust the Huskies. On Thursday, the team played the Minutewomen of UMass, ending in a scoreless draw. Rhiannon Stewart kept the net clear for Harvard making three saves on seven shots faced. Offensively, Jasmine Leshnick led the team with four shots while Hasbo added three, however, neither woman was able to find the back of the net to secure the win.
Tune in Monday afternoon for a rivalry game that is sure to pack in the action in Brookline.
