How to Watch UNC vs. Duke in Women’s College Soccer: Stream NCAA Tournament Semifinal Live, TV Channel

North Carolina and Duke will square-off in the second semifinal of the NCAA Tournament on Friday in women’s soccer action.

For the first time in women’s NCAA soccer history, four teams from the same conference will take part in the College Cup as Wake Forest, Duke, North Carolina and newcomer Stanford will all represent the ACC as they battle for a national championship. The second semifinal game will take place on Friday at 7:00 p.m. ET as second-seeded UNC takes on top-seeded Duke. North Carolina returns to the College Cup for the first time since 2022 when the team finished as runners-up to UCLA after falling 3-2 in overtime. The last time the Tar Heels won a national title was in 2012 after beating Penn State 4-1. UNC made it through to the semifinals this year with a 2-1 overtime victory over none other than Penn State on Friday in a rather serendipitous win. The Nittany Lions scored early to take a 1-0 lead and it stood until Bella Gaetino tied things up early in the second half. In overtime, Kate Faasse scored her 19th goal of the season to send her team through to the semifinal round of tournament play.

The Blue Devils are in search of their first-ever national title, but need to get past their in-state rival first. The team has not made it to the College Cup since 2017, but this year Duke has been on a tear since that first kickoff of the season. The last time Duke made it to a championship game was in 2015, but the team came up just short to Penn State in a 1-0 defeat.

Duke finished conference play with an undefeated record of 9-0-1 in the ACC and made it into the College Cup with a narrow 1-0 victory over Virginia on Friday. The lone goal of the match was scored by Katie Groff, her third of the season, in the 32nd minute and the team held on for the win. Leah Freeman held strong in net for the Blue Devils, making three saves on her way to a 12th shutout for the season.

UNC and Duke have already met twice this season with Duke winning 1-0 in an early season match and UNC winning 3-2 in the ACC tournament final just a few weeks ago. Tune in Friday to see which team can earn the tie-breaking win and with that, a spot in the NCAA Final.
