Nebraska hosts Arizona State in Lincoln as part of the Husker Invitational on Friday night.
Nebraska continues to bounce back in a big way after a surprising sweep at the beginning of the month at the hands of SMU. Nebraska was ranked No. 2 at the time but dropped to No. 5 after the loss. Ever since the Huskers have returned to form and won three games in a row. Now Nebraska is hosting the Husker Invitational. The first game of this tournament was between Arizona State and Wichita State. The Sun Devils swept that match and now they will advance to take on the Huskers on Friday night. Arizona State might be Nebraska’s toughest matchup yet. ASU is undefeated this season winning all seven of its games. This will be the Sun Devils’ first matchup against a ranked opponent this season though and it is on their opponents home court.

Nebraska is coming off a momentous win against in-state rival, No. 9 Creighton. It’d didn’t look like it was going to be much of a contest to start but it turned into a thriller. Nebraska cruised to victories in the first two sets but the Blue Jays rallied back to tie the match. The Huskers held on winning the last set 15-10 to improve to 6-1 on the season. They should be the favorites at home tonight.
