    This season Baylor (10-4) has been one of the best teams in the country in women’s college volleyball. The Bears are ranked 18th in the country but are looking to bounce back coming off a loss. That will be a challenge with 23rd BYU (9-5) up next. The Cougars are equally motivated to get back in the win column losing two straight matches heading into this test against a fellow Top 25 ranked opponent. In four matches against ranked opponents the Bears are 2-2 this season while the Cougars are 0-3 against the best teams in the country. Both teams will aim to get back on track and back into the win column against each other.

    Last season the Cougars won the only match between the teams. They took care of business in straight sets winning 3-0 at home. Heading into that match the Cougars were ranked 10th in the country while the Bears were unranked.

    The Cougars controlled the match from the opening set winning 25-17, 25-17 and 25-15 to rout the Bears. This season the Bears are the higher-ranked team in this match and will look to get that win back.

    This season Jackie Frazier Barrett has stirred the offense with 401 assists. She has set her teammates up all season as the offensive engine. No other player on the roster has more than 61 assists putting a large workload on the graduate senior to make plays for her teammates every match.
