    SEC play continues Sunday afternoon for No. 23 Florida and LSU as the teams meet in Baton Rouge in volleyball action.

    On Sunday afternoon, the Maravich Center will play host to home side LSU and visiting No. 23 Florida as the teams look to move up in the SEC standings with a win. The Tigers are currently in ninth place in the conference with an SEC record of 3-3 and an overall record of 12-5. Last weekend, the team hosted Texas A&M, winning in five sets to earn its second straight win. Jurnee Robinson finished the match at the top of the leaderboard for LSU’s offense with 23 kills on 55 swings. She received support from Bailey Ortega who added 41 assists to the stat sheet at setter. Defensively, Robinson also led with 11 digs to earn herself a double-double and Aly Kirkhoff added 10 digs to help her out. The strong team defense held the Aggies to just .187 hitting.

    The Gators are just ahead of the Tigers in the standings, also with a 3-3 record in SEC play. The team is 12-5 overall and has played four ranked opponents this season, beating only then-No. 18 Florida State in five sets. On Friday night, the Gators also played Texas A&M, winning in straight sets on the road. The offense was led by Kennedy Martin who finished the game with 17 kills on 34 swings. Elli McKissock handled defensive responsibilities with 14 digs. Taylor Parks and Alexis Stucky supported offensive play, each adding 14 assists to the stat sheet.

    LSU and Florida met once last season and the Gators won handily in straight sets (25-17, 25-23, 25-16).
