ACC play will continue Sunday for No. 19 Georgia Tech and No. 4 Louisville as the teams meet in Kentucky.

A top-20 matchup will take place on Sunday afternoon as No. 4 Louisville hosts No. 19 Georgia Tech at L&N Federal Credit Union Arena for an ACC battle. The Ramblin’ Wreck will look to tack off another ACC win with a big upset to move to .500 in conference play. The team started off 0-2 in the ACC, dropping matches to No. 23 SMU and No. 1 Pitt, but bounced back to pick up a five-set victory over Notre Dame on Friday. Bianca Bertolino and Larissa Mendes led the offense with 16 kills each, receiving support from Luanna Emiliano who finished the game with 42 assists. All three women also finished the game with double-doubles as Bertolino had a team-leading 17 digs, Mendes finished with 11 and Emiliano added 14 to the stat sheet. The Yellow Jackets will hope to carry Friday’s strong play into today’s as they look for another road win.

The Cardinals have been dominant this season and are perfect in ACC play with a record of 3-0 against conference foes and 11-2 overall. There is currently a four-way tie at the top of the leaderboard with No. 1 Pitt, North Carolina and No. 17 SMU. On Friday night, the team hosted Clemson, making quick work of the Tigers with a straight set sweep. The defensive efforts from Louisville were phenomenal as the team held Clemson to just .047 hitting. Elena Scott cleaned up in the back court with 19 digs and Anna DeBeer and Charitie Luper added 11 and 10, respectively. DeBeer led offensively, once again, with 12 kills on the night, but Luper was right behind her with 11 kills, both finishing the game with double-doubles.

Georgia Tech and Louisville have met 21 times so far in program history and the Cardinals lead the all-time series 16-5. The teams met twice last season with Georgia Tech winning the first match in four sets and Louisville taking the second match by the same score.
